  • Has taught themselves and wants someone to look at what they can't work out
  • Wants to try digital drawing on an iPad or tablet
  • Wants drawing to lead to work or to showing their work

Different goals,different paths.

Rather than everyone working through the same tasks in the same order, lessons follow what you want to draw and what you want to be able to do now.

About starting as an adult

Is it all right to start now?
Yes. People drawing for the first time and people returning after a long break both learn here. We ask what you want to draw and teach you from where you are now.
I'd feel out of place if everyone is young.
Our students range from high-school age to their seventies. Whatever your age or experience, lessons follow what each person wants to draw. Come to a trial lesson and see the classroom for yourself.
Can I learn just as a hobby?
Yes, many students come to enjoy drawing as a hobby. Drawing characters you love, finishing an original illustration: you learn whatever you want to try.
I've taught myself and don't know what to practise to improve.
We look at what you are drawing now and go through the hard parts together, such as body balance, hands and coloring. Then we tell you what to practise next.

How long progress takes

The pace of progress depends on how often you draw, your experience and your goal. The table shows a guide for one lesson a week.

Progress varies from person to person; these periods do not guarantee improvement or professional work.

At the trial lesson we ask about your current drawings and what you want to draw, and suggest how to practise.
