“I want to draw my favourite characters.” “I want to try making manga.” It’s fine not to have a dream or a future job in mind yet. Students can begin simply by drawing the illustrations and manga they like.
Each lesson starts by asking, “What do you want to draw today?” Instructors go round the students in turn, look at each person’s drawing and teach techniques and help with problems one to one.
It is not a separate class for junior-high students; they join Horie Art School’s regular lessons.
